At The Drive-In....

We took Faith to see Kung-Fu Panda last night at the Drive-in. Aside from not really being able to watch the movie because Faith was constantly asking "where did Panda go?" and "where did Tiger go?", she did amazingly well!!

The movie started at 8:55pm and we headed over a little early, hoping she'd fall asleep on the way over (since it was already her bedtime when we left the house). She didn't. BUT, she was so excited to see Panda that she was on her best behavior! No whining, crying, or general bratiness!!

Kung Fu Panda ended at about 10:20 (and she was still up and in a good mood!). We strapped her into her carseat, closed the windows and hatch, and played one of her lullabye CDs while Jason gently stroked her hair. She was out by 10:40 and the next movie (Iron Man) started at 11:05pm. She transferred reasonably well when we got home a little after 1am (cried for a second but Jas got her quiet and asleep) and slept until 8:30am!

The Solano Drive-In is in Concord off Highway 4 and costs $6.75/pp and kids 11 and under are just a buck (though we saw a smaller sign that said 5-11: $1, so under 5 might be free. we don't know. Still a bargain!)! You get 2 shows for the price of one and though it's technically a no-no, as long as it isn't too busy, you can switch screens for the second movie. That's what we did since Indiana Jones was playing with Kung Fu Panda and we had just seen it the day before. (We're on vacation... THREE MOVIES is 2 days! YOWZA!)

Anyway...that's my long winded review of the Solano Drive-In. I think we're going back on Friday :)
