Little People Live!

We were informed of a special event for the San Francisco Zoo's 80th Birthday... Little People LIVE!!! Faith has been obsessed with Little People since she was about a year old and has dozens of people, animals, cars, videos, etc. It's the only thing, besides BunBun, that she has never faltered in her love of (well, only toy thing... she's pretty keen of people/animals that love her).

So, when we heard Faith could see Little People LIVE, there was no way we couldn't take her!

It was our first time at the SF Zoo, and as members of the Oakland Zoo, we got 50% off! I've got to say though, the SF Zoo blows the Oakland Zoo out of the water. It was amazing. I don't think we saw but half of the animals there! We'll be going again, for sure! But next time, we'll take the stroller.

Faith always asks to ride the Carousel, but then clings to you for dear life when it moves! This picture was taken before it started moving, but I have to say, she did the best she's ever done on the ride! She just wouldn't take her mitts off the pole to wave back and Mommy and Nana! Safety first!

She wanted to sit on every bronze sculpture she came across, but we only got a couple of opportunities. We would wait our turn to take pictures at the ones that had other kids taking pictures and say "we have to wait our turn.". You'd think that would give the parents a freaking hint that we weren't just standing there because we thought their kids were so cute on the sculpture! But no. They took their time, and most often, we had to walk away without having taken a picture. Nothing upsets me more than parents who don't teach their kids common courtesy.
We LOVED the Prairie Dog Camp! Faith (in the hat) was sizing up an exceptionally shifty one. She was incognito.

When we finally got to the LP show, it was snack time, so most of the pictures are mid-chew.

Gosh, do I look like my mom, or what??

Faith is waving at Sonja Lee

Michael, Some Silly singing Chick who actually had to TRY OUT for this part, Eddie, and Sonja Lee, dancin' on stage!
Faith often takes a little while to take everything in. I used to worry that it was because she wasn't enjoying herself, but she really got into it when the music and dancing started!

Faith was AMAZED that we got to pass presents for the LP from the back of the room to the front (though she tried to unwrap them before passing them up). She was excited they brought out a huge Birthday Cake too. Too bad it was fake.
Dancin' Queen!
(She picked out her outfit. It actually wasn't too bad!)

Flinging herself into Mommy's arms. Silly Girl.

Unfortunately, LP Maggie (one of her favorites) had a cold and didn't come out on stage. Sarah Lyn (her other favorite) also didn't come out, but because Maggie was sick, Faith was very worried about her (hence the look on her face in the above picture). She spent the rest of the day asking if she was ok. Jason let her call Maggie on his cell phone after the show and Faith told her she hoped she felt better, and gave her kisses and hugs. Then she asked why Maggie didn't say anything back to her. We told her it was because she had a sore throat and it hurt to talk.

We all needed a pick-me-up, and what better snack to have than spun sugary goodness?

Waving to all her fans on while on the Zoo Train!
What is it about a Zoo train that makes everyone wave at it??
