It had to happen some time, right? 9 months is a biggie for me, because it means she's been on the "outside" for at least as long as I was pregnant with her! Crazy!
At 9 months old, Josie...
... Signs!! She can sign "yes", "more", and "all done".
... pulls herself up to standing, even on verticle surfaces! I'll put money on her being an early walker.
... is "tall and skinny" according to her doctor. She weighs 17 lbs 8.2 oz and is 28.25" long.
... weighs less than Faith did at this age, but is still running a size larger (in 12 month clothes) because of the big ol' diaper butt! We're still cloth diapering and loving it! Well, as much as you can love dirty diapers ;) It's a shame, becuase we have a ton of ADORABLE 9 month summer clothes that she's not going to get much wear out of!
... eats everything offered to her! She's had mango, apples, bananas, peaches, cauliflower, broccoli, yams, green beans, peas, carrots, zucchini, squash, asparagus, summer squash, avacado, raspberries, cherries, prunes, blueberries and roast beef (Faith dropped a small piece and Josie went to town!!). She has yet to flat out refuse anything. I'm going to be adding yogurt, tofu, and egg yolks in the next month to get some protein in her diet.
... is getting her first tooth! It's just barely below the surface, and aside from eating like a chow hound and a number of dirty diapers, she has coped remarkably well with the discomfort. We haven't had to give her any meds.
... LOVES books, but only when Faith will let her play with them, since Faith says "I'm a book fan, Mom. A book and magazine fan".
... hates to bathe with her sister. We've tried it, and Josie just screams the whole time. Faith is a little intense when playing int he water with her sister and seems to want to take everything Josie was playing with. It's nice to be able to give Josie the one-on-one time while Faith and Daddy cuddle.
... is starting to go through some seperation anxiety, though she does very well at the church nursery and the preschool nursery.
