We first bought Faith's Big Girl Bed!
She generously allowed Gram to sleep in it the first 2 nights.
This room is the second to last room we haven't done anything in since moving in almost FIVE years ago! In a previous life, the room served as a Den/Workout room for Grandpa Derrell. The Heartbeat was lovingly painted some 20 years ago, and as an homage to Grandpa and what the room once was, there is a very very faint outline of the heartbeat left in the room. We decided it was preferrable to the hours and hours of extra labor it would have taken to attempt (attempt being the key) to conceal the heartbeat completely. Unless you know what you're looking for, you wouln't notice it (though by posting this, I am sure those of you who see the room up close and personal will look for it!) 
Then Mama did the cutting in (Man, I hate that job!)
And Dad slapped more paint on the walls!

...to this slightly less insane mess
We still have quite a bit of work to do, but this is a DARN good start and quite an accomplishment for just one weekend of work! Stay tuned for more progress in the coming weeks!
I'm loving that shade of blue. Can't wait to see the final product.
